Extended immersion will cause fiber embrittlement, mesh collapse and contamination risk. Designed for single‑pour short‑cycle applications only.

Important Installation & Pouring Notes
Improper installation or over‑exposure to high‑temp molten steel is the top cause of mesh failure, metal bypass and casting defects.
- Mandatory pre‑heating: Pre‑heat filter before contacting molten steel to avoid thermal‑shock cracking. Cold filter will crack instantly upon steel‑melt contact.
- Ensure filter sits flat on clean runner seat; fully seal perimeter gaps. Any gap creates metal bypass and nullifies filtration performance.
- Select correct mesh aperture: 2.0‑2.5 mm is general‑purpose range for steel casting. Too‑fine mesh brings high‑flow‑resistance risk, may cause mis‑run or incomplete filling.
- Filter area should be 3‑4 times choke cross‑section for steel casting; strictly avoid prolonged molten‑steel contact time.
- Store filter sheets in dry sealed packaging, keep away from moisture.
- For large‑volume, high‑critical‑quality steel castings, evaluate ceramic‑foam filter as alternative solution.
