Foundrymax offers the 40×40×11mm silicon carbide ceramic foam filter with 20 PPI pore density. This square filter is designed for foundries processing cast iron, ductile iron, aluminium, and copper alloys.

Material

Silicon carbide (SiC) is rated to 1500°C. It provides thermal shock resistance and chemical stability in contact with molten metal.

Dimensions

The filter measures 40mm × 40mm with an 11mm thickness.

Filtration Performance

The 20 PPI pore structure (~1.2–1.5 mm) captures inclusions and oxides while maintaining good flow characteristics. The open‑cell reticulated structure (porosity 80–90%) traps slag and refractory particles through mechanical sieving and adhesion.
