Foundrymax 50×50×12.5mm Silicon Carbide Ceramic Foam Filter – 10PPI and 20PPI Options
Foundrymax offers the 50×50×12.5mm silicon carbide ceramic foam filter in 10 PPI and 20 PPI pore densities. This square filter is designed for foundries processing cast iron, ductile iron, aluminium, and copper alloys.
Silicon carbide (SiC) is rated to 1500°C. It provides thermal shock resistance and chemical stability in contact with molten metal.
The filter measures 50mm × 50mm with a 12.5mm thickness. The 50×50 square footprint is compatible with a range of gating systems, sprue bases, and runner layouts. The 12.5mm thickness offers a thinner profile for applications where space in the gating system is limited.

Filtration Performance
The open‑cell reticulated structure (porosity 80–90%) traps slag, oxides, and refractory particles. Cleaner metal entering the mould cavity helps reduce defects and improve casting quality.
