Foundrymax offers the Ø145×22mm alumina ceramic foam filter with 10 PPI pore density, designed for foundries processing aluminium and other non‑ferrous alloys.

Alumina (Al₂O₃) is rated to 1200°C, suitable for aluminium, zinc, and copper‑based alloy casting. It is chemically stable in contact with these melts, does not react with or contaminate the alloy, and provides reliable performance at a cost‑effective price point.

The filter measures 145mm in diameter with a 22mm thickness. This larger round filter provides substantial filtration area for higher melt volumes, while remaining compatible with larger sprue wells and pouring cups. The 10 PPI coarse‑pore structure prioritises high flow capacity, making it suitable for larger castings and applications where maintaining fill speed is critical. It effectively removes coarse slag, dross, and refractory particles. The open‑cell reticulated structure traps inclusions through mechanical sieving and adhesion.
