Foundrymax offers the Ø100×20mm alumina ceramic foam filter with 20 PPI pore density for aluminium and non‑ferrous foundries.

At 100mm diameter, it suitable for medium‑to‑larger castings, yet remains compatible with most standard sprue wells without requiring gating modifications. For foundries moving up from smaller formats, this size offers a straightforward capacity increase without system redesign.

Alumina (Al₂O₃) is rated to 1200°C. It is chemically stable in contact with molten aluminium and non-ferrous melts, does not react with or contaminate the alloy, and provides reliable performance at a cost-effective price point.

The 20 PPI pore structure balances flow and inclusion capture. The open-cell reticulated structure traps oxides and refractory particles through mechanical sieving and adhesion.
