Foundrymax offers the 37×37×12.5mm silicon carbide ceramic foam filter with 10 PPI pore density. This square filter is designed for foundries processing cast iron, ductile iron, aluminium, and copper alloys.
Material
Silicon carbide (SiC) is rated to 1500°C. It provides thermal shock resistance and chemical stability in contact with molten metal.
Dimensions
The filter measures 37mm × 37mm with a 12.5mm thickness.
PPI Options
Available in 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 40 PPI to suit different alloy and casting requirements.
Filtration Performance
The open‑cell reticulated structure (porosity 80–90%) traps slag, oxides, and refractory particles through mechanical sieving and adhesion, delivering cleaner metal to the mould cavity.
