Zirconia – Engineered for High‑Temperature Performance

Zirconia (ZrO₂) is the preferred filter material for steel and high‑alloy casting, rated to 1700°C. At steel pouring temperatures (typically 1550°C–1650°C), zirconia maintains its structural integrity and resists erosion from aggressive slags. Zirconia does not react with or contaminate the melt, preserving alloy chemistry and supporting consistent mechanical properties. 

The 40×40mm footprint offers practical filtration coverage for smaller steel castings, investment casting, and gating systems. 

Available in pore densities from 10 to 30 PPI, this filter can be specified to match the requirements of different alloys and quality standards:
