Foundrymax Round Ø60×20mm / 20PPI Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter

Foundrymax offers the Ø60×20mm alumina ceramic foam filter with 20 PPI pore density, designed for foundries processing aluminium and other non‑ferrous alloys.

Alumina (Al₂O₃) is rated to 1200°C, suitable for aluminium, zinc, and copper‑based alloy casting. It is chemically stable in contact with these melts, does not react with or contaminate the alloy, and provides reliable performance at a cost‑effective price point.

The filter measures 60mm in diameter with a 20mm thickness. This round format fits neatly into smaller sprue wells and pouring cups. The 20mm thickness provides mechanical strength for pouring conditions.

The 20 PPI pore structure balances flow rate and inclusion capture. It effectively removes oxides, dross, and refractory particles while maintaining good permeability. The open‑cell reticulated structure traps inclusions through mechanical sieving and surface adhesion.
